ChatGPT GPT Actions Setup Guide
Add FusionIntel Actions to your GPT so it can query China market fear & greed (sentiment), stock fundamentals, and sector data directly.
Maintained by FusionIntel Labs · Product documentation and data interpretation
Prerequisites
- A ChatGPT account and workspace that permit creating GPTs with Actions
- FusionIntel API key (sign up free)
Create the GPT
Go to chatgpt.com, click "Explore GPTs" → "Create". Name your GPT (e.g. "China Market Sentiment Analyst"), describe its purpose, and add instructions:
"You are an assistant for analyzing A-share, HK, and commodity market sentiment. When users ask about market sentiment, fear & greed, or sector rotation, call the FusionIntel API to get the latest data and provide structured analysis. Always append a risk disclaimer."
Add an Action
Switch to the "Configure" tab → "Actions" → "Create new action". In the schema editor, import the OpenAPI schema:
# Import the FusionIntel OpenAPI:
# 1. URL mode — in "Import from URL", enter:
# 2. Or manually paste the schema into the editorConfigure auth
Top-right of the Action editor: "Authentication" → "API Key" → Auth Type "Custom" → Custom Header Name X-API-Key → API Key field sk_xxx. Save.
Test the call
Back in the GPT preview, ask:
"What's the A-share fear & greed index today?"
The GPT shows "Calling action FusionIntel..." and returns JSON, then narrates the analysis. First call prompts the user to authorize.
Keep a GPT configured with your personal API key private. If shared, other users may consume that key’s quota and permissions. The Action API key does not create a separate FusionIntel account for each GPT user.
Publish & distribute
When the GPT works, click "Save" → "Publish" → choose visibility:
- Only me: private use
- Anyone with the link: shareable link
- GPT Store: public (requires OpenAI review)
Note: if publishing to the Store, do not embed your API key in the instructions. The Action handles authentication.
